An unplanned walk after the rain
The weather cleared just before sunset, so I ended up taking a longer route home than usual. The streets were still wet and the shop windows reflected everything twice. It was one of those ordinary evenings that somehow felt quieter than normal in a good way.
I stopped for a cup of hot tea, watched people rush for buses, and wrote down a few reminders for the week ahead. Nothing important happened, which was probably why it felt restful.

Trying to keep the apartment a little brighter
I moved a lamp closer to the reading chair and finally replaced a plant that had been looking tired for months. Small changes, but the room feels less heavy now, especially in the late afternoon when the light comes in sideways.
I keep underestimating how much difference a tidy desk and a warm light make at the end of the day.

A simple dinner that turned out better than expected
I made rice, tomatoes, eggs, and a quick cucumber salad because I did not feel like thinking too hard about dinner. It ended up being exactly the sort of meal that works best on a weekday: fast, warm, familiar, and easy to clean up afterward.
I should probably keep a short list of meals like this somewhere instead of pretending I will invent something new every evening.
